Paul’s Green Tweed Jacket Paul chose a classic green tweed bespoke jacket with a burgundy, mustard and bottle green windowpane. At 14oz this cloth is not too heavy and in my opinion, can be worn for three out of four seasons. If you are looking for something similar, it can be found in the Porter and Harding Glenroyal bunch. Phil ordered a tweed blazer to be made from the Holland and Sherry tweed bunch in a classic brown tone. It has the most beautiful colours; ranging from burnt orange to yellow and teal flecks scattered through it.

Graham’s doublet and shirt came about as he is a folk singer and needed an outfit that reflected his music. I used Hunt and Winterbotham moleskin for the capped sleeve doublet and a wool/cotton mix from Acorn Fabrics for the shirt.

Jeremy needed a 2 piece bespoke suit to wear to his family wedding. We chose a charcoal grey herringbone with a faint pinstripe for his 2-button jacket. His trousers have a single pleat and slanted pockets.

I met Paul at Reading Business Club. He is a wine merchant and one day, out of the blue, came up to me and enquired “I have a tablecloth I bought in France, could you make it into a waistcoat?” My answer was simply, “Sure, I don’t see why not.” And that was that.
